Claudette President was born in South Carolina and grew up in a small town called Cross,. She was a devoted member of Zion UM Church, then Poplar Hill Christian Church as an adult. She served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Disciple Women, worked as the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Secretary, the Youth Bible Study Teacher, the Youth Choir Director, Youth Department Director, mass choir director, and on the Praise and Worship Team. She is the Disciple women’s Staff person for the South Carolina region, the President for the National Convocation and Associate Pastor at First Christian Charleston. Claudette also travels in the community and surrounding areas to different churches to be on various programs as their Mistress of Ceremony, speaker, or to sing a beautiful song of praise. She accepted her call into the ministry and on September 13, 2015, she had her initial sermon at Poplar Hill Christian Church and was ordained on April 29, 2018. Claudette graduated from Phillips Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. She has two adult sons Christopher and Craig. Claudette also has two adorable grandchildren Christian and Jrue.

Diana Myers is the Music Director and Harpist for our Sunday worship. Diana graduated from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with a Bachelors of Music , Harp and Education. She has been a member of First Christian Church for 25 years and has served as our Associate Music Director since the 1990’s directing the youth orchestra, our annual children and youth Christmas play and the children’s choir at First Christian.

Chelsea McCreight has taken care of our little ones during worship service since 2010 as our nursery attendant. Chelsea grew up at First Christian Church and participated in the nursery program herself at the age of three. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Elementary Education and is a Teaching Fellows recipient. Chelsea is now teaching 4th grade at North Charleston Elementary in addition to her Sunday morning responsibilities.
